When we bought our house three years ago, I felt that everything had to be design because the whole house was built new. I thought that a romantic interior wouldn’t fit this type of house so I started to collect my inspiration mostly from the Dutch ELLE Decoration which was pretty much all about modern design. Don’t get me wrong! I love it, but I just don’t live in Edward Cullen’s apartment.
Unfortunately now I don’t really feel at home in my own home. I’m the kind of person who needs a comfortable, cosy and warm place. So I figured it’s time for some huge changes with little effort and a small budget. (Because I don’t really have the money to go for a new couch etc.)
I got very much inspired by the top picture which I saw in the February issue from Matchbook magazine and I’m going to try to get that feeling with the items in the second picture.
The Leaves cushion is from Zara Home – € 29,95 (I might need two)
The ceramic lamp also from Zara Home – € 89,95
The orange cushions and the green cushion are from H&M Home – € 4,95 and
I found a second hand Bamboo side table online for € 10,00 and for the plant I’m thinking to spend about € 50,00
All together that would make a living room make over for approximately € 250,00 (because I need some cushion pads as well)
Now let’s make it happen! Keep you guys updated.
