As I was reading a fashion magazine a few weeks ago at my hairdresser, there was this particular bag in a street style item that immediately caught my attention. The bag was a milk box! Who was making these fabulous bags? It said “Olympia Le-Tan” under the picture. Of course I had to check it out their website as soon as I was done.
It says in her bio that Olympia Le-Tan (born in London, raised in Paris and likes to say she is English, French and Vietnamese) is a self-taught fashion designer who started her career at Chanel. In 2009 she launched her eponymous accessories label, combining her two obsessions, embroidery (a talent she inherited from her grand-mother), and literature (a passion she shares with her father, French illustrator Pierre Le-Tan) to create one of a kind handbags and minaudières. The bags are handmade with love in France in very limited editions.
Looking at these handbags make me feel like a little girl again.
Yes, I need one.
